Sir Darren Jacklin joins Roy on the Speaking Podcast to talk about integrity, accountability and how to judge people before you do business with them. Darren shares how he became a knight in 2022, why he hired an integrity coach, and how he now tests character through hiking, micro commitments and a simple “calm, cautious or nervous” check on his gut. He is open about his own low points with money and what he learned from them. Roy adds lessons from his own years in property and construction. They finish with Darren’s view of Toastmasters, which he calls a low-cost way to start personal and professional development.
