#436 Peter Wilson: Council Tax Bankruptcies, Plug-In Solar, and an AI App for Fighting Debt Letters
Peter Wilson returns for his regular catch-up with Roy. They cover how councils in England are getting more aggressive over unpaid council tax, with bankruptcy filings and charges on homes, and how a small bill can grow into a huge one once trustees and legal fees get involved. Peter explains how he runs plug-in solar panels, batteries and a backup setup at home, what it costs, and why he sees creating your own energy as part of being sovereign. They also look at offshore wind, solar roof contracts to watch out for, and writing to the council as a living soul. Peter then walks through the AI app he built for his Checkmate the Matrix community, which guides people through Consumer Credit Act requests, GDPR and court defence without giving legal advice. The conversation moves on to his allotment and chickens, growing your own food, a recent bank outage and why cash matters, payment fees, and why Peter rates Skool as a platform for building a sovereign income.

[Speaker 2] (0:00 - 0:36)
Welcome to the Awakening and the Sovereign Man podcast, and I'm joined by my good friend Peter Wilson. I won't bother doing an intro because I did last time. I think people know you at this stage are, it's basically a man fighting for our rights of things we didn't even realize that we need.
And once you understand this, you go, you should be grateful for what he's actually doing. And I've learned a lot from him. I've learned a lot from his community and school.
And just when I think I know everything, you know, Peter comes out and tells me something else and I learn more. So welcome back.
[Speaker 1] (0:37 - 0:41)
It's great to be back. Always like having our regular chats. Good fun.
[Speaker 2] (0:42 - 0:50)
No, absolutely. I suppose. Let's get a kind of update.
Was there any updates and courts or any new stuff that's coming up?
[Speaker 1] (0:52 - 4:01)
No, no, I haven't got anything like myself at the minute. Luckily, you know, that I kind of made sure I had a free enough year. I was in and out of court in the beginning part all the time for other people helping them, you know, with their issues and everything.
But it's been not too bad. But what you know, what I do know is like that I'm getting a lot of paperwork coming through from other people is the councils in England, for sure, maybe the rest of the UK as well, have really started to be very aggressive to people that are actually not paying council tax for whatever reason. You know, I know there are several groups out there that they were all very active telling everyone, don't pay this, don't pay that.
But obviously, once you get past the stage of not paying it and you start getting the grief for it for the council, the bailiffs or whoever it is, you know, the ones that are telling you to do it and nowhere to be found to help you. And they've just all of a sudden went really aggressive on doing bankruptcies, bankruptcy filings on people and charges on the houses as well. The councils are doing really picked it up just recently.
So there's a lot of people that are struggling now, you know, in a panic now. And, you know, all of these sort of like people in groups that were saying, right, come on, we're all going to stop paying council tax. We're all going to bring the system down.
And now they've all disappeared and shut up, you know, and the ones that have got the problems with the bankruptcy hearings and that are just left on their own to deal with it. And it's really super aggressive from councils, you know, what they're actually doing. One guy, you know, they actually said, he said, well, I'm going to pay it off now, I'll pay it off.
And the council were like, no, we don't want it. We want you bankrupt. That's what we want, you know.
So it's just a slight up tilt like that in aggression from them, that's for sure. I don't, you know, I mean, just the ridiculous things that, you know, the council that we have here, they are now 900 million in debt, 900 million. Who else do you know can run a company like that?
Be 900 million in debt. And, you know, just they've actually just in this little village that we're at now, apparently there's a further up. I don't really go up there, but there's a main road and they're going to narrow the road and put like, it's already got a cycle path there, but they're going to make a bigger cycle path, you know.
And I think it's trying to stop people driving is what they're doing, isn't it? You know, electric cars and, you know, making the roads narrower, a little bit further down the coast as well. It's the same beautiful little village, Tynemouth, they call it, and they've made it one way and made it a cycle path.
[Speaker 2] (4:01 - 4:33)
It must be something they're doing internationally because here, right, there's one of the main roads that I go when I'm actually bringing my son or collecting him. And there's three lanes and they'll have to put in lines. And it's like it goes from three lanes into one.
And it doesn't make sense what they've done. It's actually very dangerous. Like you're just driving along and you're like, oh, Jesus.
And there's no reason when they've like all, you know, when they put the white lines and everything. And I'm seeing more of that kind of crap. So that's the same thing.
I'd say they're just rolling this out now as well.
[Speaker 1] (4:34 - 5:59)
Yeah, no, that makes sense, you know. But on here, like I say, it's going to narrow this road. It's quite a busy road because it goes up to Newcastle anyway.
You know, a lot of people go that way to get to the city. But I can't remember how much it was. It's a few million that they're spending to change this road.
Well, how come you're going to do that if you've got 900 million in debt already? In debt. You know, imagine if you were running a limited company, I mean, they would just shut you down.
You would actually probably get investigated and put in prison, you know. So you've spent everyone's money, all your creditors' money, you know, you'd be bankrupt and shut. You'd be gone.
But they're like just going more and more and more. I mean, I've actually got, this is from a counsellor. This is like a little leaflet here that they stuck through, you know, for this road thing.
I'm not, I don't drive up there, so it's not going to affect me, but it's just the insanity of it, you know. And they're actually, what is it now they're saying? Oh, yeah, it's 14 million that they spent on this cycle path.
14 million. And they're actually 898 million in debt. Right.
That's from, you know, Northumbrian County Council. 898 million in debt. And they just, oh, but don't worry, we're going to spend another 14 million on doing a cycle path along that.
It's absolutely insane.
[Speaker 2] (5:59 - 6:35)
Because what I see, like, I know a few people that are kind of working in the council or in kind of like economic zone stuff and everything. And all I see them is on piss-ups the whole time. Like they go to events and they're all speaking and they're all, it's just piss-ups, piss-ups, piss-ups.
They're traveling to different countries, piss-up, piss-up, piss-up. And it's all paid for. So no wonder they're all losing money.
They're just blowing money. I mean, if that was a company, as you say, you go on the air, you know, you don't travel, you don't do these things. And it's supposed to be like in an economic zone, bringing in companies and, you know, it's not happening.
[Speaker 1] (6:36 - 7:35)
So again, like, I mean, the councils are like this all over the country, by the way, you know, it's not just this, just luckily, no, not luckily, but like I'm sort of closer to it. So I get the information coming through. They spent something like 300,000 on vapes, vapes to help people stop smoking, I think they said.
Right. The vapes has got to be 10 times worse for you than smoking anyway. Right.
That's going to kill you quicker. You just have to look up popcorn lungs and you'll stop vaping. Exactly.
But, you know, in reality, it's all, I can just go and spend 300,000 on vapes and then 40 million on this road that I've already got, you know, but then they've increased everyone's council tax. I think the maximum you're allowed to do it is 5% a year. And there's something like 4.9 or something like that, you know, but they've increased everyone's council tax and then go and spend, you know, all these millions.
[Speaker 2] (7:35 - 7:37)
5% of the value of the property.
[Speaker 1] (7:39 - 7:45)
I don't know exactly how it works out. I think it's like they're allowed to increase it by 5%.
[Speaker 2] (7:46 - 8:36)
Yeah. I knew that here, that even when the economy was tanking, they kept increasing it. It's like GDP plus inflation and all this kind of thing.
So I could see it even here, the property tax error that was going up and up and up. And no matter what way the economy was going, they were increasing it. And it's like the price you pay for it.
And I'm just curious because when they brought that in Ireland, it wasn't council tax, kind of like property tax. It was when you didn't pay it, it was like mafia. They were like charging a hundred percent interest.
It was like doubling. I don't know, it was the council tax like that. But I mean, if you try to apply that to anyone else, there'd be no way you get around it, but yet they can go, all right, we're charging it.
What interest are the councils putting on when people can't afford to pay it?
[Speaker 1] (8:36 - 11:04)
Well, they don't put an interest on it, but what happens here, and they've only just changed this, by the way, but changing it, I think for 2027. So if you missed like a month, what do you call it, standing order or whatever it is, direct debit, I'm not sure. If you missed it for that month, they could then say, right now we need the full year.
So I mean, obviously you've got like, people call it a cost of living crisis. It's a cost of corruption crisis is what it is. And so if you're struggling, these families as well, it's not everybody who isn't paying isn't like, oh, I'm an activist and I'm not paying and I'm going to go and protest.
And you know what I mean? With placards, some people just haven't got the money to pay it. So some people are having a really struggle, hard time.
But how can that make any logical sense? You haven't been able to pay for that month. So now I want the whole year straight away.
So it's going for, I wanted 250 quid. Now I want two and a half grand. You've got to pay all of that immediately.
And if you don't pay it immediately, then you're going to get a liability order. So then we're going to, which costs them about three quid, by the way, to do a liability order. And then they actually put the charges on of about like 200 quid onto you.
Then they get the enforcement officer and there's another 300 quid for the enforcement officer, you know, and the interest, the only time the interest would go on is if they do put a charge on a property that I was talking about before. And then they can put a charge each year because it stays on the property. It doesn't just stay at the level.
It goes up every year, you know, and then the bankruptcy thing. This is what people don't realize. You know, there's a couple of people that were like, you know, I've got a bankruptcy order, you know, but it's only for like six, seven grand.
But we know through experience, all right, you've got six, seven grand bankruptcy from your council tax. Once it's gone into the receiver and the trustees, the bankruptcy trustees get a hold of it, the barrister's not, that's a hundred and six, hundred and sixty grand. Right.
So it's that's all the fees, all of the legal costs and everything are skyrocketing. So your six grand is you've lost your house. It's it's gone up like well, well over a hundred, hundred and fifty grand.
It's the whole thing is just about like financial ruin and punishment, you know, it's insanity.
[Speaker 2] (11:04 - 11:10)
The level of that, they're all vermin. How they look in the mirror and think life is good when they're part of that.
[Speaker 1] (11:11 - 12:19)
Yeah. Yeah. But that is the way it is, isn't it?
You know, it's like a prison planet that we're on where it's a construct and we'll be stuck in here for whatever reason. You know, we don't know why we've been put here, but. We got that fake Tesla car and we'd fly out of here.
No, but yeah. So, you know, it's not it's never it's not everyone's saying, oh, it's going to get better and it's going to sunshine and roses. And, you know, a lot of people even still saying, well, Donald Trump's going to come and he's going to kill all the bad guys and we're going to have a great fucking come on.
Right. It's only here to get worse. Right.
That's all it's for. And you're there to suffer. That's and try to do the best you can while suffering.
That's all it's about. It's a prison planet. We've been sent here because you did something wrong somewhere else.
I'll bet you. And you've been sent here as all naughty kids to to get punished in this. It's got to be in it because it's just a shit show all the time.
You know, just everything, all the insanity you're going through. I mean, I mean, it's you've lost the sense of what what was normal.
[Speaker 2] (12:19 - 12:27)
Billions of people around the world that are on their knees for a tiny, tiny percentage of evil bastards.
[Speaker 1] (12:28 - 12:28)
Yeah.
[Speaker 2] (12:28 - 14:05)
You know, it could be resolved like that. You know, it's all orchestrated. Everything is orchestrated.
The more you look, I mean, we went down so many rabbit holes. You can see who pulls the strings and why they do it. And, you know, they don't want to give it.
The only thing is because we have to give hope. We don't want people saying life is like that is creating alternatives. That's the only way.
And it's like, you know, you're doing it with the health and the food and everything. But one of the ones is electricity, because I know we've talked about yoga. I saw just the other day somebody, an Irish person, they were talking about, there's like pay as you go kind of thing, electricity.
And they realised they were getting, they were paying a lot more. So they decided to move. And the company didn't want to do it.
And they offered them a 500 euro off their bill. And then they said, no, no. And then they went up to 700.
So they have a lot of money to be playing with when they can do things like that. And, I mean, even here, it's like everywhere, the electricity has gone through the roof and, you know, people choosing between feeding themselves, keeping themselves warm and everything. And the reality is like, because I'm knowledgeable because of what you were saying with the devices and your solar outside.
There's a guy that I'm seeing now on TikTok that in Ireland, he's selling these devices. I think he's about 500 bucks for the, where you put the solars into it. But you're not, there's a law, apparently all over UK and Europe, you can do it.
But in Ireland, you can't, that you can't plug into the grid, like with your own kind of energy. Yeah. But I mean, okay.
[Speaker 1] (14:06 - 14:59)
Yeah. Because, so now, right. So, I mean, I've got, I've got solar panels in the garden.
I've got solar panels on my shed. I've, you know, I've literally been moving around. I've just increased the size of the actual battery as well.
I've got three batteries now. I'm going to give one to actually a friend, you know, because it's, I mean, we, we built one of the batteries, but you know, when I say we, you know, being someone else did all the work and I held a span upon him, but, you know, but the, the, the thing is now you can get microinverters, that's what they're called. And I got mine.
It was for less than 130 quid. Right. They're going up all the time now, because while you're sitting there, they've just changed the law in the UK where you can plug it straight into this, into the system.
So you get this little micro.
[Speaker 2] (14:59 - 15:01)
It's like a little box kind of.
[Speaker 1] (15:01 - 15:01)
Yeah.
[Speaker 2] (15:02 - 15:04)
Yeah. So that's what your man is charging 500 bucks.
[Speaker 1] (15:04 - 18:47)
I bet. Yeah. I've seen, I've seen, I've seen a couple from, from Ireland doing it, a couple of guys, but you know, I was going to do some videos, some more videos.
I keep telling my group all the time, look, it's like, you know, it's even if they're increasing the price to say 200 quid, 200 quid, all right, 200 euros, whatever it is, you get this put on, just go and screw it on your wall. You don't need to do anything with it. It doesn't get wired into any electrics.
It doesn't get like, you know, you don't need an electrician. You literally drill a couple of holes, put it on the wall. Then you get your solar panel, right?
You don't have to get them up on the roof anymore. These are actually designed. A lot of them, people try and sell them.
What do they call a balcony or apartment solar kits is what they call them. Cause you could put them on your balcony. You could hang them out the window, anything like that.
And I said, I've got them like in the garden. Now, what I'm going to do when I get times, I'm going to move them off the grass and put them just on the back wall. Cause you get, that's where it's south.
We'll get a lot of sunshine on there. So I'm just going to put them on the back wall. It's just one way joint together.
You can get well in this micro inverter, which is, let's just say less than 200 quid. You can get two 400 watt panels, right? Cause they never run at 400 watt, but you get them up to maximum 400 watt.
You plug two of them in to one inverter. Then you go and put that, you can plug it straight into the actual socket and it feeds the electricity straight in. And your home uses that power, right?
And it's got, the micro has already fitted with the emergency switch. So if there's a surge one way or the other, it shuts it down. So it's completely safe.
It's completely legal, right? But on top of that, now we've already got a big battery and that will store it for you. So like today is really, really bright, right?
So this, if you're not using it, it can store it up for you. These ones are brilliant. Now they are like little Lego blocks, right?
So you get your battery, you put it down and you, so you're running the storage into there and your house can run it or directly into the socket as well. But it stores it in your battery when you're not using it. Then if you start to notice, if it's really sunny during the summer, if you don't want your batteries full, you can get another one.
It plugs on top of it, just like Lego, just put it on top, plug it in together. And now you've got double the actual storage. I mean, this is a thing like in the summer, it's costing us less than 50 pence a day for the electric.
Why can't you get a cheaper than that? No, exactly. You've got to pay the maintenance.
That's what it is. You're going to pay the maintenance for the system, even though, you know, well, I suppose it's connected to the system, you know, and if everything went off, the difference is as well on hours, right? Because again, if you've got one of these big solar systems from years ago, you've got to check that out because some of them, that means that you don't own the roof and you don't own the solar panels.
So you've got to find out what the contract was. You know, these ones I've got, I can lift it up and say, we're having a power cut. I can take ours, put it in next to the internet machine, whatever it's called, the router, and just plug it in and it'll work.
And it's got like, you know, 25 hours or whatever it is of power for that. You know, our fridge freezers we've got, they just run off these. We don't use it for off the house at all.
It's off these batteries, you know, it just runs all the time in the garage.
[Speaker 2] (18:47 - 18:48)
How much are the batteries, Peter?
[Speaker 1] (18:49 - 23:24)
Well, now you get, you can get them for, I don't know what they are now. They were about like 600 quid, but now you can get them for a couple of hundred quid. They're going to pay for themselves within a year.
I mean, like we've went and seen when these people were getting smart meters put in, right. Their bills will go up in like four or five, 600 quid a month. So, you know what I mean?
You can actually, it'll pay for itself. It's talking about like, like I say, in the, in the winter, it's about like, it goes up and down there, but we, we take it over a three, four month period and work it out, you know, because obviously it's different all the time, but over three, four month period worked out about like £2.60 odd a day in the winter, you know, and it's dark at half past three, you know what I mean? So it's, it works out.
So obviously you're going to pay more because it's not as much, and these solar panels, it doesn't have to be sunny as long as it's daylight. It actually still attracts in the power, obviously not as much, right. But you know, that's the thing, expect to pay more when, because your batteries are going to run down quicker, right.
But then there's the thing as well, and this is, this is, you can buy your own smart meter, right. But a smart meter for the batteries, not for like going to the supplier, right. Here's the really clever thing.
You can get the smart meter, your own smart meter, plug it in with the batteries and connect it to your supply. So at the night time, when the charge for the electricity is very, very low in Ireland, I know for a fact, it's, it's, it's, it's way, way ridiculously low at night time. They've charged the batteries with it all night.
Then during the day, when you're using it, you're using your battery power and you reduced your costs by well less than half. So imagine that you're going to pay for them, them batteries within a year. And then after that, you're laughing.
So, I mean, I don't know, I see like, I mean, I do deal with a lot of people that help them, you know, with like, people working when they're getting hassled with bailiffs and things like that. And a lot of it is because of power bills, you know, that I've been arguing with my utility company and everything like I've had a massive argument with mine, right. And that's when we were getting the solar panels put in.
But so I got resolved in the end and, you know, all the money that they actually argued and took off me because direct debit, I got it all back, right. A couple of grand back off them. But, you know, it's, I would rather be fighting them on this sensible way because now once this is, it's all, it's already paid for no problem on there.
Now I'm just, I'm just, I'm happy. I'm laughing. You know, I mean, I've got them at the allotment.
I just take the barrier, put it in the car, take it up there. Right. I can charge it up.
I want to keep the heat in the polytunnel. Right. It's just like, to me, people say, I want to be sovereign.
Right. Well, what does that mean? You know, to me, it's like, well, I need to actually look after myself and be like, if I'm sovereign, that means that I'm handling my own affairs and I'm looking after me, I'm being self-sufficient and I don't rely on a government.
I don't rely on a handout. I don't rely on another like entity that's going to go and fund me. So really, right.
The way to be doing to be sovereign, if that's real, then it's for you to be creating your own energy. Surely. Right.
You know, I mean, I know the argument that people come and say we've paid tax, right, for however many years and that taxes went to build the infrastructure for the power of the energy and whatever. You know, it's a half-hearted argument in reality. Right.
You know, but why not just go and create your own power? We even tried with a wind turbine, a little wind turbine in the house. For whatever reason, I couldn't get it to work.
It went round fine. All that was working. It just changed the inverter.
But now, again, from Ireland as well, it's quite a few people in Ireland because, well, there is a lot of off-grid there, though, isn't that as well? You know, and they've got wind turbines that are doing really well, not great big ones that you've got, you know, they're actually like a cylinder.
[Speaker 2] (23:26 - 23:47)
I think they were created by a Dutch guy. So you can fit a load of them, what you would fit these big units. And people don't realise the amount of concrete and steel that's required for these big, and most of it, it can't be recycled.
It's just fucking buried. You can just dump it and you're like, what?
[Speaker 1] (23:47 - 23:59)
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, here we've got them off the course, you know, so we just live by the beach.
So I can't remember, there's four or five, you know, I mean, I try not to look at them and great big ugly things like sitting there and the noise.
[Speaker 2] (24:00 - 24:11)
Well, I had a holiday home and you just hear, because it was grand for a while, but then they put it in and you just hear woof, woof. It's horrible. Like it's just, and it's just constant.
[Speaker 1] (24:12 - 28:03)
Well, these ones here, they're about, what are they now? I think they're about like nearly a mile offshore. Right.
So I can imagine how much concrete's been poured into that ground right under the sea to actually make them stand there. Now, I've never, ever seen it when they're all working. There's always two or three of them, right?
That are always still. And it's surrounded by a maintenance ship all the time. These people are making fortunes, right?
Whoever's running all these maintenance companies. Like, I mean, I think someone was getting paid, I think it was something like 15 grand a month as a workman. I don't blame it, mate, because you've got to climb up all the way up and top and sit on top of these windmills.
Like, you know, I ain't doing that. You know, I don't care how you can have the money, but you know what I mean? All of that money for that.
And the thing is, what are they full of? They're full of grease, they're full of oil, they're full of everything that they're saying they want to not use, right? Because we use wind energy, we don't, but the whole thing's an engine inside.
There's a turbine engine inside, and it's full of grease and full of oil. And that's all of the lubricants to actually help it work with like tons and tons and tons of concrete that if they're talking about, oh, we want to be carbon neutral, where you've just created, right, you know, billions of tons of carbon dioxide by that concrete that you've created is just absolutely insane. It will never offset this carbon footprint.
Not that we want to, because if we did get rid of carbon, we'd all be dead. We know that, don't we? So why we allow them to talk this bullshit is beyond me.
But, you know, with anything, if we got rid of carbon, there wouldn't be a single green thing left on the planet. So we would all be dead. It's just, it's crazy, like, to allow them to even talk that way.
But there it is. But, you know, the little ones, you can get them. And they're, I'm not saying they're tiny, you know, but I don't know, maybe it's like this big.
All right. Probably about like six foot tall. And you can have them either on your garage roof or you can have them at the back of the garden.
And I mean, here, like I say, we live by the beach, windy nearly all the time. I just couldn't get it to work. But I was watching this guy with another of these micro inverters from Ireland.
And that was he was getting that to work as well. So when it wasn't sunny, it was windy. So you get an extra charge.
And what's the price on them units? That was about like 500 quid or euros. Right.
But I mean, it's going to be different, all the different types of machines, but they're getting they're getting more and more common. And they're getting to me when I was watching and using it, it was getting to a standard of like, well, these ones work properly. You know, and the inverter was working and it was storing the electricity.
So if you combined it with solar and the actual wind, you know, you're going to actually start to really be way more self-sufficient. I mean, this year, it's kind of being off grid when you're on the grid because you won't allow you to cut it off the system, but then you've at least got the backup. You're going to pay the maintenance.
But like I said, it's, you know, in the summer, it's like 45, 47 pence a day, you know, so it's you've got it there in emergencies. You've got it. The only thing, like I said, which a lot of people don't know, if you do get a power cut, your solar's don't work.
So if you've got it into the system, if you've got a connected on grid system, even all your batteries, it won't work if there's a power cut. You get no power. So we've got ours set up.
So if there is a power cut, ours will run all the time.
[Speaker 2] (28:03 - 28:06)
The batteries feeding into the system from inside and that you're doing.
[Speaker 1] (28:06 - 28:43)
Well, it feeds in the house. It doesn't, you know, literally just use the battery. So there's no connection to the grid.
There's no danger to the battery or to the grid or anything else like that, you know, and it will use the power that we have. So, yeah, I guess we've got one battery in there that will run the fridge and freezers for 24 or 25 hours. So, you know, I mean, obviously then, you know, if there was no power, you can actually have a panel connected to it and it can be charging as it's running.
Right. So there's that emergency.
[Speaker 2] (28:43 - 28:59)
And with the solar panels then, because there's different ones, I see big glass ones, and then there's ones that you can kind of roll up and everything. What's the price point and where should people get them? Can they get them from Timu or do you have to go to a certain resort?
What kind of price point are you talking about for them?
[Speaker 1] (29:00 - 29:24)
I would not go to Timu or anything like that for them. Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, man. You know, it's about now it was under 100 quid the last time I bought one. The ones that I'm looking at now are about 120 quid for 400 watt.
That's not bad.
[Speaker 2] (29:24 - 29:39)
And is it just by wattage you because what I heard is that the solar panels are made in such a way that they only do 15% efficiency intentionally, that the reality is they could be a lot more efficient. Have you heard anything about that? And is there different ones?
[Speaker 1] (29:39 - 30:03)
Well, you know, all I can do is is the only thing is speaking of experience and during the summer, you know, like our battery is is the big battery itself, which is huge. That's nearly 100 percent. But before 10 o'clock in the morning.
You know, so it's no problem.
[Speaker 2] (30:04 - 30:11)
The battery. What's the lifespan? Is it like an ordinary car battery that it lasts for kind of three years or now?
[Speaker 1] (30:13 - 32:03)
We've had the older battery that we've just replaced there and there was nothing wrong with it. I just wanted a bigger one. And I asked them, you know, to kind of get another one of them and connect it together.
And they went, yeah, but it will cost more. Why not get a brand new one, which is like five times the actual size, like outside, not size, the capacity of storage, you know, and it costs less money. All right.
Well, that's obviously just common sense then. So that's why I'm giving that battery away to a friend. So they're going to take it and put it in, get some panels put up on on theirs at the shop.
But, you know, the. No, I know that was six year old. There was nothing wrong with it.
I just wanted it bigger. And they get more and more advanced all the time as well. So I've never had any problem with it.
One of the ones that we built, that's all car batteries, which are like 12 car batteries put together. You know, obviously, that's that's that's completely and utterly off grid. It's not connected to anything, just the batteries.
And then I can move it around, you know, like to get anything like on an extension, plug it in. So it's now 100 percent off grid. No, no worries on connections or dangers or anything like that.
But, you know, I mean, it's so easy to do. So, so much more affordable than what it was back in the day. You know, people are going, oh, it's going to be 10, 11, 12 grand to get it all up on there and installed.
Not now. You know, I mean, it's literally like, say, well, it's 200 quid. And then for two panels, say that's 300 quids, you've got 500 quid.
You can have that system up and running. A couple of hundred extra quid, maybe you can have a battery as well and then just add on now. And it's going to be paying for itself in a short period of time.
[Speaker 2] (32:03 - 32:41)
But yeah, especially now with the ridiculous prices of the charging now, you know, you mentioned both because a lot of people, they have contracts because they were making it look like, oh, you're going to make money back or you only have to pay reduce. And there's so many years. But then when they went to sell their house, they realized that now they have a contract on their roof and they can sell their house.
So you have to be very careful when you actually get a contracting company coming in, offering a deal that you think is great or it's on my roof and I don't have to pay that much or you're paying it over 10 years or something like that. And when they wanted to sell, they weren't allowed.
[Speaker 1] (32:42 - 34:40)
Yeah, I mean, I have read a couple of reports and you know, if you get I don't know if you still get them now, but back in years and years ago, you used to get grants. So they were going, oh, it's free, get this put on there. But as soon as they got that put on, there was a contract on the roof and they couldn't sell the house, you know, or it was tied in on some horrible deal because they thought, well, they had a great deal at the time.
Oh, it's free. Got it all installed for free. But it ain't theirs now.
You know, it's actually someone else owns that. So they might get the power and everything. But, you know, you just got to make sure that you read up on research, everything and read all fine print.
I wouldn't take a grant off anybody, you know, like, especially nowadays when you can just go get it so easily. You don't need to even get it on the roof. You can have it like in your back garden.
You can have it on your wall. It only takes two of you to go and install some panels on your wall if it's facing the sunshine and then, you know, get the wiring. It's dead simple.
It's just what you need, what the actual installation people do. It's nothing, you know, them folding ones that you were talking about. We had some of them, but they're not like they're not meant to be like outside, you know, that the more for camping, put them out and then take them away again.
You know, we actually have them on the shed roof. And then last year we had the big storm last year was really bad and it blew away. The I mean, I got them back, but, you know, I haven't put them back on the roof again.
Now I've got a proper unit. I'm going to get it fitted properly, you know, on the shed roof. And I've seen, you know, once you get into it and you start picking up that interest and go on YouTube, there's people have got their whole wall on that.
They've got a fence or a wall that is all solar panels. You know, so instead of having a fence up, they've got literally a fence of solar energy.
[Speaker 2] (34:40 - 34:41)
So much better.
[Speaker 1] (34:41 - 35:32)
Yeah. You know what I mean? It's just so many different ways of doing it now.
And, you know, I don't know how much a fence panel is, but the this these are huge panels there for about 100 quid, 120 quid. You could put them up instead of a fence panel and would be collecting the energy for you and just get it wired in. You know, it's it's so easy to do compared to what it used to be.
And that to me is like you create your own energy and, you know, then you're being what I call off grid, being on grid. So you do have like the backup of an emergency. But that's a better way of challenging the system rather than saying, right, I'm going to not pay my bills and argue with you and block my door when you come round the bailiff.
No, I'm just going to create my own energy and you can go do what, you know, don't need you. I'll create my own.
[Speaker 2] (35:34 - 36:59)
So just going back just quickly to the council tax, because, like, especially if they're going to make people go bankrupt and all the costs that you're saying, the seven grand goes to over a hundred grand. And I know the way they work and barristers fees and everything. It's all the whole thing is.
But I guarantee you, they're writing to the person as the all capital or the Mr. All Capital. And it's like you just respond. I mean, they've done that.
It's like you're writing to the wrong person. I'm the living soul. They can never they can never do it.
I don't know. Have you had any of your people do that? Like I've used that and applied it.
And you say because, you know, the way they've done the barter and the straw man and all that. But if you just look at it like this, yeah, you're writing to the wrong person. They didn't have to prove that you are who they say they are and they can't.
Yeah. So my power just went out for two seconds. I'm assuming they didn't want me sharing that information.
Yeah. So I mean, I'm not sure where it got cut off. But yeah, I mean, that's what I think.
I think that's the way to beat them. And same as anything they're doing. Just go right to the wrong person.
Everything I say now I put it as living soul. And it's working for me. And I'd encourage everybody to do the same, because yeah, we like we have to step outside of the system.
And yeah, they don't know how to deal with me.
[Speaker 1] (37:02 - 37:13)
Yeah. I mean, there's quite a few people I know that work exactly the same way, you know. So if it's working for you, then you've got to keep doing it.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
[Speaker 2] (37:13 - 37:45)
Exactly. Exactly. And I've got a kind of format for my letter, but I obviously I can't put it online because then if you do that, then it's like everybody starts doing it and they'll figure out a way around it.
So, yeah. Exactly. Yeah.
So I know that the app, I know we're going on a little bit because I want to go back to your allotment after, but the AI that you've created, because I know we've discussed it previously on a few things, what you've done, but you're doing a lot at the moment on that.
[Speaker 1] (37:46 - 48:48)
Well, with the thing is with if you want to sort of like make progress with it, you've got to, you've got to kind of like move with the times on yet now. See, the thing is with AI, a lot of people get panicky and go AI and it's going to like, you know, take over the world. And the systems that they're actually using and saying are AI have been around for so long, right, that they're now just allowing us to use it.
But, you know, these advanced systems and everything, you know, they're very old and, you know, we just got the ability now to be able to actually get a share of it, but it can be so powerful if you use it correctly. And see in our community, Checkmate the Matrix, originally, well, it's on school.com, Checkmate the Matrix on school.com. So the way that they have it with it being called school, which is an S-K-W-O, but they have, instead of calling it courses, they just call them classrooms, right?
So in each classroom, we had one for GDPR, we had one for challenging the private parking tickets. We've got one what we call like the fair pay resolution, which is like debt negotiation for people who didn't want to argue and go into court and everything like that. And each of them had their own app.
I built this app for each one, each individual one. And it was all tied in with what you call like the custom made one, custom made GPT. But the, and they were working brilliantly, they were really, really good, very, very powerful.
And at one time, which I feel they just come back, they shut the system down, shut my apps down, and just said, Oh, I had broken their, I don't know what it was, you know, terms and conditions or whatever it is, you know. And I just think because they were like seeing how powerful these were getting, and the results that they were getting for people as well using these, these apps, you know, and what it does is it's not a normal, like, people go on, I've used ChatGPT and it's created me like some document, you know, to argue the debt check. These were legally trained and built all around either, well, what it was for, like FCA, Financial Conduct Authority, or now the new one we've got is the CCA, the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
So it's built with that brain inside it. So it can only work on this, so it doesn't go off and it doesn't represent the other side or the government or the debt collector. It talks about the statute, it will work for you.
So, you know, very recently, there's just been another change in the back end of OpenAI that run a lot of these, you know, GPTs. So what I've had to do was go back to the beginning. And then this week, we've created a whole brand new app that we've put in there.
And I've literally just, you know, when you build these things and you put that goes live, you have to let it work its way through and then people will find something wrong with it. You've got to do that. So then you can go back in and you can rebuild it and then, you know, launch it again, right, live, and then they go in.
So now it seems to be perfectly fine at the minute, you know. So what it is, is it's built around this whole pathway now, this app there, and it's all educated, all the skills are there for the Consumer Credit Act 1974. So that's the first thing it would attack.
Then it goes on to GDPR. So it's got all of the GDPR, all of the regulations in. And then it goes on to what we call the Fair Pay Resolution, or it can segue off from there and go into the how to actually create a court defence as well.
But the way that it's designed is, I've designed it specifically for this so it can't get caught out providing legal advice. So it won't ever make a decision for you. You have to make the decision yourself.
It will show you what all the options are for any particular time. And once you've actually read the options and seen the options, you have to click a button to decide which way to go. So in other words, you're making your own decisions all the time.
You're never getting given advice. And when they actually create, say, for instance, under CCA, the Consumer Credit Act 1974, if you have a bank loan, you've got either section 77, 78 or 79, three different sections. So one's credit cards, one of them is a fixed loan, like a bank loan, fixed payment.
And the other one is like personal credit, you know, like HP type stuff. So you can send them off one of these letters. It'll design the letter for you, but it won't include personal details.
So it won't create it with your name, address, account numbers or anything like that. It will say, this is exactly what you've got to write, but you put your name and address in. So in other words, it's not giving you legal advice.
It's not specifically telling you which address to put it on. That's the way it is. You've got to be very, very careful.
You know, there's a couple of apps in groups that I know have already been shut down and find hundreds of thousands for providing legal advice. So you've got to make sure it does not do that. So you've got to build it in a way where it's super powerful and completely accurate, but it never says you must do this now.
You must do that now. That's giving advice. That's legal advice.
And that's a regulated activity under the financial services. Sorry, the Legal Services Act. OK, so it's designed so it won't give actual legal advice, but it does walk you through that pathway when you make your choices.
So I mean, a lot of people didn't even know this under the Consumer Credit Act. So it's built in with that knowledge. If you get any letter from a debt collector, right, first thing you ought to do is send off one of those Consumer Credit Act requests and you request a copy of the original agreement.
Now, they have 12 days, 12 working days, not Saturdays and 12 working days to provide a copy of the original agreement. Now, they are allowed under that Carey versus HSBC case law. They're allowed to make a reconstituted copy.
It doesn't have to be the real bit of paper with your wet signature. It doesn't have to be that. Not saying that.
They can reconstitute it, but all the details need to be identical. Now, that might be a silly thing to say, maybe, but people don't get it. We've got loads of cases on members there that they've sent them the new or they've sent them the copy of the original agreement under the Consumer Credit Act, had the wrong address on, right, because they'd moved.
Now, what they've done is they've just wrote that out themselves and said, there's your agreement and put their new address on. So, that is not the correct way to do it. It has to be done from where you were at the time, what the address was, all the dates have got to be the same.
All of the details have got to be identical. All of the terms and conditions, you know, they can't just make it up. So, as soon as there's a non-compliance, it makes the debt unenforceable until they get the compliant response, until they get the actual copy, the reconstituted copy, but it's got to be the exact copy with the right details in.
So, there's quite a few we've had just, well, we can't find it and ripped it off. So, you know, it's not written off in the sense of your debt disappears, but they can't do anything with it. They can't enforce it.
So, it's, to them, it's useless. We're not going to get this money, you know. So, it happens a lot.
You're going to imagine, well, you'll know because you've been through it, you know, you've got the people who buy the debt, then they pass it on to another debt collector, then they pass it on to another debt collector. All these tracks here, the legal titles don't follow it and neither does the original agreement. So, they get lost.
So, they can't give you it. And if they can't give you it, you know, then it's unenforceable. So, like I say, it doesn't disappear, right, but there's nothing they can do about it.
And then if it lasts for up to, depends where you live, five or six years, then it's statute barred as well anyway. So, then it's completely gone. No way can they do anything about it at all.
Then, but this app can go through all of that. This is what to do with the first letter. This is what to do with the second letter if they try and, you know, obfuscate or be a bit naughty.
And then if they found out, like, well, we can't enforce it and, you know, we just say, right, no problem, because they are allowed, they'll still ask you to pay. We can't enforce it, but will you please still give us some money? No, no, I don't think I'll bother, right.
But then if we found out that they have got it and it makes it, oh, well, it is enforceable, it is, you know, on the books and we can ask for it, we can, we can take it to court, then we move it onto the GDPR route and go through the actual GDPR pathway. And, you know, the whole app is built around all of that. So, it's actually quite a complex app.
It's very, very clever. And it also has what I would call live AI built into it. So, you can go in and ask questions and it will actually have the live AI will give the answers to it.
So, if you're having an issue with a particular problem, it's got to be on that subject. Obviously, you're not going to ask it about horse racing. It's not going to give you a good answer.
But, you know, as long as it's on that subject that it's been trained upon and it will come out and provide the answers, you know, for that as well and tell you a little bit of an easier pathway. Again, it will always put on, it's not advice, we can't give you advice, but this is the information on that subject.
[Speaker 2] (48:48 - 48:57)
So, again, letters that you're getting then with the app so that it's uploading rather than having to type or, you know, give voice on it.
[Speaker 1] (48:58 - 50:59)
Exactly that. So, and here's a little bit of advice for everybody, OK? It actually says this on my app.
It's written on there. Don't upload your personal details. Don't upload.
This is going on to the internet, right? If you're uploading, like even if it's a debt letter, it's got your account number, it's got how much you owe, it's got your name, your address, probably your date of birth. That's going on the internet, right?
So, black it out, just redact it all and then upload that, you know, and it'll just work out the actual details for it. It doesn't need to know your name and address and your inside leg measurement to get you the correct template, you know, it'll do it for you. It doesn't have to know where you were born and who your mom was and, you know, all the rest of it.
Just get all your personal details out of there. But yeah, you can, you can like upload it, take an image of it, upload it onto the app and ask it a question about that letter and it'll actually answer that for you. And all of that is built in.
So, you've got all of the pathways from Consumer Credit Act to GDPR, Financial Conduct Authority, right the way through to the CPR, which is the Civil Procedure Rules, if you're going to defend the case in the court, all the way through there. And then also at the end of it, if you want to click on the ask a question and you're going to upload your documents and ask it questions as well. So, it's a very powerful app.
It's, you know, and that one now, it's more powerful. I thought the others were good, right? But this one is like way better than that.
And that's on all the debt classrooms now. So, it's on the GDPR classroom. I'm going to now create a Credit Consumer Act classroom.
So, you know, people can go into that one. I can't believe how many people didn't realize that you could send that. And you can, I mean, I mean, if they haven't got it, you stop them straight away, you know.
[Speaker 2] (50:59 - 51:04)
Is it, is the app voice activated or you just kind of write?
[Speaker 1] (51:05 - 51:16)
I think just write. Yeah. Do you know what?
I've never tested it. I've never thought about that way. So, I'll have to double check.
But I'm pretty sure it was just writing. Yeah. Come on, you've got to do some work.
[Speaker 2] (51:18 - 51:21)
Reduce it. You know, so you can spend time on the allotment.
[Speaker 1] (51:22 - 51:39)
Yeah, I know. I know. Well, I see.
So, it gets them to, it gets the AI to do a lot because it's my information that I've put in. It's all on there. So, it saved me having to sit and answer all the questions, you know, in the actual community so that I can go to the allotment, look after the chickens.
[Speaker 2] (51:40 - 51:55)
Very good. So, yeah, give us an update because, I mean, you're kind of, I like the way you're kind of bringing us along on your journey and you're learning a lot with all the stuff in the allotment. Have the chickens started laying eggs yet?
[Speaker 1] (51:55 - 53:45)
No, no, no. They were, whatever you want to call it, hatched or birthed or whatever, you know, they became into the world on the 2nd of May. So, now is kind of when you would expect them to start laying, right?
But then it's now start to get into the late autumn and winter. So, it's like they preserve their energy in the cold. So, they may not even start laying yet.
They could do because what I do know is they are very happy and healthy, you know. So, I've got the guy who I got them from. He's got an allotment a little bit further up.
He's got chickens himself. He's had them for years and years and years and he explains, you know, and then obviously from what he tells me, I go and do research as well. So, you've got on the top of the chicken's head, you've got like what's called the comb, right?
That sticks up in the air like the jaggy thing on the top of the head and then they have like what's called the wattles that hang down off the neck. So, that's a very good indication of the health. So, you can really see now.
Our chickens are called, I have to say this word correctly, Barnvalders, okay? They're from a town called Barnvald in Holland. So, they're a cross between this Dutch chicken and an Asian chicken, right?
So, that they're black and gold. I mean really dark black with gold stripes through. There's nothing what I expected a chicken to look like.
You don't expect what you get on front of the Kellogg's box, you know what I mean? There's your cornflakes chicken.
[Speaker 2] (53:45 - 53:47)
Are they going to lay golden eggs for you, Peter?
[Speaker 1] (53:47 - 56:15)
Yeah, well, anything will do for now. But when you see a bright red and hang it or red with dark stripes and it's, you know, a deep red, then you know that they're happy and healthy. If they go like pale or pinky, then they're not well, you know?
So, I know that ours are like really healthy. They get, you know, obviously, like you've got the correct food that you have to buy for them as well. But you've got to let them out.
I mean, if you want them to be, they're very clever, you know, chickens, you know, that people look at them and think, oh, you know, they just scratch around and you don't have to worry about them. They recognize you and they know who you are, right? And they've got the ability to recognize people and recognize what's going on.
And they've got like, you know, just the same as everything. They're just a soul, right? They've been brought in by the creator.
And it's just the same. They've got a connection. They've got emotions.
They've got feelings, you know? And they've all got different personalities. All of them are all different.
There's one of them keeps attacking me, keeps pecking. Not nastily, just hanging on to me, you know? It's like quite, quite funny, really.
It keeps pecking at your trousers all the time. Other ones will not come anywhere near you. You go near them, you know, they get too scared and flutter off.
But, you know, we've got like the three different types of food that you have to give them from depends on which age they are now. So now they're all on what they call like layers foods. So, you know, because that's now got a lot of calcium in.
So then you can also give them more worms, what they call like calcium worms. So they've got a lot of calcium in the worms as well, which builds up the strength of the eggs so they can lay good, strong eggs. A couple of people I know that got the first chickens weren't feeding them the right calcium food, and they were actually getting an egg laid with no shell.
It's weird, you know, but so you've got to make sure you have the correct food on them all, you know. So eventually they are going to. I mean, we've got four chickens that they can lay like an egg a day.
So, you know, over time, it's going to start easily be getting three to four eggs every day. So that there is a good food resource, good protein.
[Speaker 2] (56:16 - 56:18)
Janine, I mean, you're sorted for the day, really.
[Speaker 1] (56:18 - 58:55)
And what's the lifespan of how long do they live I've heard lots of different things, but it could be a few years, you know, four or five years. If as long as, you know, they're healthy and happy and everything. So, you know, yeah, it's a good lifespan on them.
But then as well, you know, they help with, you know, we let ours out and they go around and they eat as long as you keep your plants covered, you want to keep everything. They do a lot of the weeding, they leave all the weeds in the garden, keep all the bugs and slugs and snails, anything like that. So which helps you grow and the rest of your food.
And it's a massive learning curve, you know. But again, this is another thing. It's like, well, everyone is like we've got a whole group of people just in the community.
I keep saying, look, you need to start learning how to grow your own food. You know, I've got a contact there just come up and says, we've got someone who's going to sell land and they're more than willing to sell it in plots for a community. So if you could get groups of people together, right, and they'd form community plots of land.
So everybody would be like similar having your own allotment like we have, but you own it. Right. So your community together could actually own this plot of land.
And the guy now from what, you know, would even be willing to deal with a PMA, Private Members Association. Right. So like, in other words, work like you were talking about, you know, not being your legal fiction, your full capital name.
So they'd be able to be dealing with on their living soul. Right. So that's very, very interesting.
So we need to sort of get more information on that. I'm telling people about that and they were like, oh, that's interesting. Well, you know, it's I don't know whereabouts it's down south in England, you know, so it's not good for me, but I'm trying to pass the information on to others.
So, you know, this is an opportunity where you can then become sovereign and you can have your own food, because this is the thing, you know, a couple of places, you know, like around Europe now, Italy and France and they're saying they can't get any food because they're all the trucks now are stopping there and their shelves are empty. Yeah. Yeah.
[Speaker 2] (58:55 - 58:57)
It's not in the news, of course.
[Speaker 1] (58:58 - 1:01:25)
Exactly. But, you know, so really, that's an even bigger wake up to start thinking, well, we need to learn how to actually start growing our own food. I mean, you don't need to have like huge big fields.
You know, you can get it. I mean, I watch this channel and they actually I can't remember the weight, but they said how many pounds of food that they got out of this small plot, kept the family for a year. So if they can do it, then, you know, we can do it.
And all you got to do is spend a bit of time learning. And there's no other way around it. You've got to, you know, literally get covered in dirt.
You've got to dig it up and plant. I mean, you don't have to dig the garden, just do no dig garden. Right.
So you're actually not having to go and dig or anything. And but some things have been a tough year. It has been a tough year.
I know a lot of people in smallholders and small farms have struggled this year because of the weather. But, you know, it's but some things have done brilliantly. I mean, for whatever reason, I mean, like beetroots, we've just had an abundance of beetroots and really well, we've got them all pickled now.
So, you know, we've been eating them all summer. Now we're pickling them and tomatoes like, you know, you know, coming out tomatoes. It's been brilliant with that.
And these little things called kookamelons. You ever heard of a kookamelon? It's about the size of a grape.
And it's like it's from Mexico. But it's like kind of a mixture between a melon and a cucumber full of seeds in that. But I'm not saying it's the nicest taste in the world.
It's like a very harsh tasting gherkin type thing. But they're really good for you. Full of antioxidants.
You know, a lot of I don't want to say any words, you know, but it's like really good for health on, you know, beating off certain ailments that you don't want to have. So they are really, really good for you. We've just got tons and tons of them.
Yeah. Peppers, had loads of peppers as well. Strawberries.
Oh, brilliant for strawberries. And they taste so nice as well. You know, I mean, not a spray or a fertilizer in sight.
[Speaker 2] (1:01:26 - 1:01:54)
So, you know, I get the tomatoes now from the farm. I get my eggs, I get my potatoes and it's like the tomatoes. I look forward to it every season because it's like so good.
And then, you know, I go back and whether you get buy or what, it's not. It's all bull in a little or any of these places. And it's they're not tomatoes.
I don't know what they are. There's no taste to them whatsoever. And yeah, that's such a and just curious with the chickens, are you planning on breeding them at all?
[Speaker 1] (1:01:55 - 1:03:46)
Not me, no, I don't really know. No, I mean, there's plenty of the people are. And if I want more, I can easily get a hold of them.
It's not you can get a hold of one for about a tenner, you know. Yeah, I don't I don't want to get into that. I really don't because, you know, the thing is, right.
I know there's a few people around there that do it and they have the incubators at home. So once the eggs have been laid, if they've got the cockerel as well as like the the hens, then they're going to have fertilized eggs. So you can take them and put them in the incubator, but you never know what's going to come out of them.
Right. I don't I don't mean alligators, but it can be, you know, if you could have a whole pile of eggs and they could all be male, you ain't getting any eggs from them. You know, and what you got to do with them, they have to get rid of them.
So I don't fancy doing that, you know, just one of them horrible things. I mean, because they can't they can't keep that if you've got three or four cockerels, they can't keep them because they're going to kill each other anyway. Right.
So you've got to and you can't give them away because, you know, you can have you can have 20 hens. Right. It's not going to be a problem, but you can't have, you know, a group of cockerels because they'll just fight.
And it's so it's yeah, it's that's not not to, you know, I already know like somebody's planning dinner for the allotment. So I'm like, oh, OK, well, leave you to that bit then. I don't want to get involved in that one.
So now I don't think I'll do any any breeding or anything like that.
[Speaker 2] (1:03:47 - 1:04:21)
Prior to recording, we were talking about Revolut. So like yesterday, it was because I saw a few posts on it and they were saying that my mama told me that it was on the radio and everybody was like, but then as it turned out, I saw is it HNBC or HSBC and there was something like 20 of them. So you might just kind of touch on that because it's scary when you see this.
Yeah. You're you're a hole in the wall and you want you go to pay to buy your anything just doesn't work. And it's like then you realize the power of cash.
[Speaker 1] (1:04:22 - 1:04:41)
Yeah, exactly. I mean, that did happen to me yesterday. So, you know, on the way up to the allotment and because I've been doing a lot of work up there, so I had something to take to the tip and then from the tip, I went to get some fuel before going to see the chickens.
So I filled it up. It was like one hundred and four quid for the diesel for the cars.
[Speaker 2] (1:04:41 - 1:04:50)
You cry. I cry when I see the price. It's like it's like, you know, the blackjack you're pulling the thing and you're just seeing the figure going up.
[Speaker 1] (1:04:51 - 1:07:43)
Yeah. Yeah. It's incredible.
You know, the thing is, though, it weighs all the massive protests away. Remember, like, you know, it wasn't that long ago, you know, like I have massive protests and show everything down because of the the cost. It's gone up even higher now.
Nobody's saying anything, you know. So anyway, I think it was one hundred and four quid or that. OK, then.
But that was it was the Revolut, you know, on there. I use that card to crypto cards. Well, so I got like the combination.
I just went declined, you know, so I got I got the app on the phone. So on the there. So like, wait, shut it down, you know.
And I'm like, so I've got my other card out there. Well, no, decline. Oh, dear.
Luckily enough, like I did get it sorted in the end. But yeah, that was it. And it was the whole day, you know, that there was quite a few of them, wasn't it?
You said I've seen HSBC, Bank of Scotland and a few others as well, that they'd all been shut down for whatever reason. You know, this is a very, very suspicious as well. You know what I mean?
But like, this is the thing I really say, like, you've got to make sure that you've got. A good, handy amount of cash for an emergency, even if it's something silly like that, you know, if luckily I got it sorted. But, you know, if you want anything else and you wanted to go on, do more shopping, get some food or whatever it was you're going, you know, you've got to you've got to give them something.
Even going to the farm shops, you know, you've got to give them something for their produce. So, yeah, I think just if nothing else, there's a lesson for sure. Make sure that you've got a handy amount of cash on you or at least accessible to you that you can get a hold of.
You know, this is the thing, though, you know, they've been pushing this for for a long time now. So, you know, don't don't worry about cash. Don't use cash.
Just, you know, got your cards there. You've got your machines. You've got everything.
Just you've got them on your phone now. I haven't, but I know I see people doing it all the time and it's like, you know, all it's click and that's it. It all ends.
Just one click of a button like it did yesterday for all those banks. And I bet you there was a lot of panicking and running around. Now, can you imagine if, you know, it was like Cyprus and it didn't come back on?
You know, so or the HSB, Northern Rock Bank up here, 2007, and it just shut its doors. Never, ever opened again. There was queues of people there trying to get in and get the money and machines weren't working, couldn't get any money out of it, you know, on the banking crash.
But everything just went, you know, but that bank shut, never, ever opened again.
[Speaker 2] (1:07:43 - 1:08:10)
I'm just curious. And do you know, because in other words, they say you're kind of guaranteed. It depends on the country and the bank and everything.
It's like they say 50,000 or 100,000, which I mean, if somebody's got half a million, why would you leave it in one bank when you're guaranteed for that amount? But I'm just curious, the people that couldn't get their money, did the government back them that they got their money eventually? Or is it like, how I expect they got nothing, because they usually make you think you're going to get money.
[Speaker 1] (1:08:10 - 1:09:34)
Yeah, exactly that, you know, exactly that. So there was a lot of people got nothing. You know, and so just obviously, I think, you know, it's to me, you can see that it's going happen again, because you can see the financial state of the world that purposely just crippling it.
It's all done on purpose. You know, you were saying before, it's all designed. By design, they're going to just cripple everything and collapse everything, you know, have their, you know, restarted or, you know what I mean, a reset.
And I think when it does happen, and it shuts down big time like that. Yeah, I mean, who is it you're going to complain to? Oh, I needed that, whatever it was, 100,000, 85,000, 50,000, you know, if that's what you've got in the bank.
But, you know, I mean, it's like, well, who are you going to complain to? It's, you know, the banks have been gone, they'll be shut. So you can't go to the bank and say, where's my money, because they don't exist anymore.
And then, well, try talking to any type of government or anyone, you know, who's going to speak to you, what are you going to do? So they're just going to be like, oh, we'll sort it soon, we'll sort it soon. You know, there's nothing, there's nothing guaranteed, no matter what they say, 85, 100,000, 500,000, there's nothing guaranteed.
[Speaker 2] (1:09:36 - 1:10:37)
And it's like, even when you take cash out now, I don't know, it's the same in the UK, but what I'm noticing here is some of the machines, it's like, even if you wanted to take out like 25 bucks, it was like a fiver fee, and at least 2%, 3% that they're taking. And that never happened before. Like, no, I don't know, they're doing it over there.
But so if you wanted to just take out your money from wherever you got paid to have cash, you're losing a percentage. It's like the PayPal, they're taking 4% every time you try to take it into your bank. And, you know, if you're getting paid by Stripe, it's fucking another 4% or 3.5%. And, you know, then you have to wait when they decide, when they decide to declare it, like you're after shipping out the goods, and they hold your money for, I remember one stage there, it was like, I was doing the podcast coaching, it was over a month before I got my money. I had finished the work with the person, they just, as if protecting the client, you know, everything is just kind of using your money to make more money.
[Speaker 1] (1:10:38 - 1:10:58)
Most definitely. But if you think about that, though, it's 100%. I do know that it says on some of the machines, you know, this is a free withdrawal machine, but it has to be written on it.
But the, if you imagine, again, it's just you've mentioned Stripe there, I can't remember percentage, but just say it's about 2%.
[Speaker 2] (1:10:58 - 1:11:03)
So that you get your money, 3.5%, 3.5% plus the Turkish cent thing there.
[Speaker 1] (1:11:03 - 1:11:21)
Yeah. But say they took that money off you there, so you've lost 3.5% there, and then it's going to go in to like, say, a bank somewhere, and then you go and use the machine, and that takes another 2.5%. And you're paying, you know what I mean, everything else on top of that as well, your money's just getting stripped away from your left-hand side, isn't it?
[Speaker 2] (1:11:21 - 1:11:55)
Like with the, like the PayPal, I mentioned it on lots of different shows, it's the one that so much, because you can only set it at a certain currency. So if somebody pays you in a different currency, they convert it back. And then, like say if I have in dollars, and I want to put it into my account, even though I've got Revolut in dollars, and I've got my Ways in dollars, and I've even got my Polish bank, they can have dollars, all the different currencies, they won't allow that because I'm in Europe.
And they only allow me to do it in Euro, and they charge 4%, no matter where I'm sending it.
[Speaker 1] (1:11:55 - 1:11:55)
Okay.
[Speaker 2] (1:11:56 - 1:12:02)
And I, like, I tried to put in the card, in the debit card and just transfer it. No, we can't accept that.
[Speaker 1] (1:12:03 - 1:12:34)
I know that, I mean, I don't know how they're going to work it, you know, but like on school, they're introducing different ways to make, take payments. And also once they've took, once they've sorted out the payment schedule, payment gateways, so there's different methods, because, you know, they say the same on their meetings. It's like, well, there's so many different countries now, some of them won't even allow, say, Stripe or PayPal, where other ones will only allow a different one.
I mean, they said some names, I can't even remember what they were.
[Speaker 2] (1:12:34 - 1:12:44)
Yeah, but they're talking about Africa and stuff like that. People want to subscribe to, say, your channel, but they can't, because the processes are kind of US-based. But now they're going to be dealing directly, which is fantastic news.
[Speaker 1] (1:12:44 - 1:13:57)
Yeah, so it's going to open up, they reckon that it'll open up the school communities to another whole, like, group of worldwide people, you know. But also they're going to allow the different currencies, so you won't have those exchanges that you're talking about as well. So that's going to assist as well on the thing, you know.
I mean, I would recommend the school to everybody anyway, you know, and I'm not all about just come and join, like, our communities. I mean, set your own up, you know. If you've got something you want to talk about, set your own community up.
That school is just getting better and better, like, month upon month, you know. And if somebody's got something to talk about, and they're willing to put the work in, you've got to be willing to put the work in, or nothing's going to happen. If you don't do anything, then nothing's going to happen.
But if you've got something to talk about, and you want to put the work in, then I would thoroughly recommend school to go and share some of your information on. And that will help, you know, the payments, being able to, like, get it from different people and stop the actual, the currency conversion as well, which is not, it's not ready yet, but it's coming along.
[Speaker 2] (1:13:58 - 1:15:14)
And the most important thing is, like, your accounting, because if you have, you know, a hundred members or a thousand members in your group, it's all done automatically, and you just get the one invoice, and the money comes in. You don't have to be doing all this separate invoices and bills, and it just takes, that's a major headache that's just being removed. And I'm hoping that, because they're getting so big, and there's more and more people joining, I'm hoping they'll create their own payment system, because the reality is, why would, I think it might be 2.9, I know there's different versions of this site, but there was a 2.9, but like, they are taking a certain percent, they probably get a better deal, maybe they're getting a kickback or whatever, but it's still a percentage that they're paying out. And they're probably going, we could be using that as our profit to pump back in, because what they're doing as well, and I don't know, like, they're actually doing the ads for you, so they're not charging you, but they, like, if they get a client for you, they take 30%, but you can even slide the bar up to 70% of your payment, they really put it out, and then you can do ads and paid ads and everything.
It's like, no other company does that. It's like, they're really encouraging people how to build their community, and they're doing it in the most efficient way possible. It's incredible.
[Speaker 1] (1:15:15 - 1:15:54)
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I've seen, just yesterday, I was on the meeting, and I was saying about, like, oh, now you've got, you can go and see your own ads, and what we've done with your ads, and I was like, oh, interesting. So I went on, and I've seen, I had, you got, I can't remember now, you go up from stage one, stage two, stage three, and stage four, so I think I'm at stage two there, but you get, you know, 10 different ads that they're actually putting out for you, and they're way better than anything I've ever created. I'm like, look at them, bloody hell, it's, you know, same, it's, it's all done with AI, so there's a couple that I'm presuming are supposed to be made of nothing like people.
[Speaker 2] (1:15:54 - 1:16:01)
Yeah, I got, I saw one of me, and I was like, well, I was kind of going, that's not me, but I don't care if it's going to lead to sales.
[Speaker 1] (1:16:02 - 1:16:33)
Exactly, you know, and that's the thing is, these are going out, yeah, okay, but you're not paying for them, and that's the thing, I mean, but we've got, you've got your affiliate program on school, so any member that joins your community can then recommend it, and they'll get a percentage, a recurring, recurring every month, you know, so you can sell it at whatever you want, 30, 40, 50 percent, whatever, you know, so if they're getting 50 percent, why not allow school to run all those adverts for you to take 50 percent as well, because it's just another affiliate.
[Speaker 2] (1:16:34 - 1:16:34)
Yeah, exactly.
[Speaker 1] (1:16:34 - 1:17:30)
But they've got way more knowledge and clout than, you know, someone who's just come and joined because they want to know how to do a podcast, or want to know how to, you know, grow your own food, or whatever it would be, you know, they're never, all right, so now I can create ads for you as well, now I just want to grow some potatoes, it's like, so, but they have got the skill and the experience, and why not just allow them to take a commission, the same as you'd be doing an affiliate anyway, and you all grow it, and you're not doing anything for it, it's got to be, that's a first, it's a first ever, really, in history, and that there is, I mean, the way that they're working it there, and the actual, like, intelligence of it, really, to know how to help while they're, I mean, the amount of money they're spending on ads is incredible, the whole thing, you go in and you
[Speaker 2] (1:17:30 - 1:17:45)
see an ad, and you just slide across, they have about 30, and I have found ones that I'm interested in, and subscribe, so, you know, like, us, as users, we find things that we go, we're interested in as well.
[Speaker 1] (1:17:46 - 1:18:22)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, we're actually just, I've got one launch now, which is on the, again, it's about, like, well, if you want to be sovereign, then you have to actually have what we call a sovereign enterprise, you creating your own actual income, streams of income, so that you're not having a job, right, you don't want a boss, you don't want a job just over broke, because you never get any money, you know, there's plenty more months left at the end of the money, and there's, like, you know, the boss there, who can switch you off anytime they want, right, or if it's in the bank thing, again, the money goes in the bank, and you fall out with a creditor, or
[Speaker 2] (1:18:24 - 1:18:27)
anybody, pay them first before you get the scraps.
[Speaker 1] (1:18:28 - 1:20:10)
Yeah, so, you know, and even on the PAYE, they get all the money before you do, you get what's left. So, you know, creating your own income, to me, just makes so much more sense. So we're actually nearly, nearly finished the course now, and then I'll, it's a standalone course, but the coaching to do, if you want extra coaching, is going to go on the school, you know, which is the old AI one, we'll change on to that one very soon, but Janine is also, she's just passed her diploma now, for, like, the Zoo Pharmacognosy, which is self-selection in animals.
So, although she concentrates on dogs, because we've had dogs for, like, you know, like, 20 odd years, and it's literally working with dogs, and herbs, and essential oils, and it's nature, and that's the, so we're going to, again, create a school community for that, and when you see it working, it's absolutely incredible, but, you know, like, what it is, is animals, in nature, they already know what they need to actually do, if they feel they know what they're supposed to do, they know if they wouldn't, what they have to go and eat to heal, you know, I mean, it's just, it's nature, it just looks after nature, I mean, when we got the chickens, right, we put them in the chicken run, the big chicken run, where it can move around, but then they've got their little coop, where they will go, and they need to go onto a bar to roost, and go to sleep. Who told them how to do that? No one told them how to do that.
[Speaker 2] (1:20:10 - 1:20:14)
I'm sure you were inside there, teaching them, and trying to do it yourself.
[Speaker 1] (1:20:15 - 1:21:53)
You know what I mean, they just, they just all, when it's right, it's time for bed, as soon as it starts to get dusk, and you watch them, they all climb up, and go, go to bed, go to sleep in there, and then when it's light enough, they come out, you know, it's like, whoever, and when you watch them going around there, who is it that told them where they need to go, and scratch, dig a big hole, and start digging worms up, you know, no one, no one, this is, it's just, that's what nature tells them what nature to do.
So, you all watch these, and I mean, I don't know anything about it, I'm just, but I've watched, and you actually, our mouse, he's amazing at it, and they have two, like, different, either herbs, or essential oils, and what they'll do is, they'll sniff around, pick the one that they know, and they'll go and curl up on it, and put their back to it, so you can, like, like, massage it into the back, and it actually helps bring out, like, the, the healing for whatever it is that's wrong, and there's, you know, it's, it's a big word, zoopharmacognosy, self-selection is a lot easier to say, but, you know, so that, we're going to launch that again, use it on school, I would just, anybody that you've got any kind of, anything like that whatsoever, just get yourself involved on school, you know, because the platform, there's never been anything like it, and even, I think it was 2002, 2003, when I first found it, and went on to there, it's completely different now to what it was back then, it's just got so much more advanced, and easier to use, you know, there's the zooms, and everything, well, it's not zoom, but like,
[Speaker 2] (1:21:53 - 1:22:20)
the way they do their work, yeah, I mean, we do our, our, our lives there, and the quality is, is very good, but they're, they've been working on that now, is also, they, they know that they'll have it like the zoom, I think eventually, you'll be able to do breakout rooms, and things like that, because that's what we're looking for, so, you know, we, sometimes we have to do a zoom, because it doesn't have that, but I'd prefer if we could keep everything there, it'd be a lot better.
[Speaker 1] (1:22:21 - 1:23:04)
Yeah, no, it's, as you can see, they've been talking about it, and making like the, the live, go, you can go live on there, plus you can do like the recorders, you can do the actual, like, like, like a webinar meeting, whatever you want to do on there, and they said, I've always thought they were quite good anyway, but they are going to make them a lot better, and eventually, I reckon you will, you'll see it exactly the same as what anyone else can do, you know, it wouldn't even surprise me if they started to allow like live stream to other platforms, you know, like say, like, what do you call it, stream yard, yeah, yeah, yeah, because, I mean, what they're encouraging you to do is to go and put your school link onto all your socials, you know,
[Speaker 2] (1:23:04 - 1:23:19)
like, I think if we did that, now, if we had a live on what we're doing, say, with the authority alliance, and people just seen one of it, and go, hey, if you want to come in, you would get a lot of people that would sign up, so I think it'd be in their interest to allow that, yeah, oh, you'll
[Speaker 1] (1:23:19 - 1:23:58)
see it, I'm telling you, you'll see it, I mean, the stuff that, you know, that they're actually coming out with and doing is just incredible, you know, I've known of that Sam Ovens, you know, for quite a long time, and he's always been, you know, top of his game, very, very clever, but when you're seeing him actually working, obviously, he's got Alex Hormozy working with him as well, you know, so, I mean, there's some, obviously, very, very talented, as well as very wealthy people that are being able to help run and set things up, you know, you can see the difference, but yeah, school all day long, it's, it's incredible.
[Speaker 2] (1:23:58 - 1:24:33)
Like, I'm assuming you're like me, you listen to the weekly calls, and it's like you, just by listening to him, you know, he's one of the good guys, just everything he's doing, he's trying to help people, and it's like every other company, like, even with, say, Pod being now, and everything they're doing is making it worse, like most of the platforms are on, once they get to a certain size, they just try to think how they can squeeze you more, how they can get more out of you, and just make your life more difficult, whereas that platform is just, they're constantly making your life easier.
[Speaker 1] (1:24:35 - 1:26:44)
Yeah, no, definitely, yeah, I mean, I think, from what you're saying, I think is definitely right, he is, he's doing, he's going above and beyond, you know, when he's helping people, and, you know, just like, normal people like us, who are just like, we want to go on a platform, you're trying to get a message across, whatever that is, you know, and you can, I mean, how many times you've been on other things, like Facebook, and you're just trying to put information on, and it gets shut down, or then, you know, you do a post, and it goes, you've got a group of 10,000 people, and they're getting it, it shows you, oh, you've been out to two, well, what about the other, like, you know, 9,990, what happened to them, you know, and it's just, it has changed, I'll admit that, they've changed their algorithm on all of them now, to make it a lot easier to do, like, lives, and reels, and, you know, shorts, and stuff like that, but, you know, that one, you just, there's still, like, shut me down so many times for next to nothing, you know, it's just crazy, I had a glass of water, right, it was on doing a live, on, I think it was TikTok, glass of water, I mean, you know, not many people have a pint of vodka, do they, you know what I mean, it's just a glass of water, well, what am I supposed to drink, you know, like, well, so, and they shut me down, says, oh, you're doing something, that doesn't go without it, I'm drinking a glass of water, because I'm talking, right, shut my life off, you know what I mean, well, a pint of gin, like that, madness, you know, it's, yeah, just for whatever reason, I can imagine, you know, I mean, you can sit there drinking a beer on, what do you call it, YouTube, doesn't matter, right, but on TikTok, they didn't like it, they're not letting you do anything like that, I don't blame them either, but come on, who's watching, like, to actually say, oh, he's got water, you know, that looks suspiciously like a pint of vodka, we're not having that in, you know what I mean.
[Speaker 2] (1:26:44 - 1:26:57)
Probably the glass, because if you had a normal kind of cup now or something, but because it's a beer glass, it probably can't decipher that it's not beer in it, that it's water, and that's why it's weird.
[Speaker 1] (1:26:57 - 1:27:52)
Yeah, probably, probably just some kind of algorithm that picks up the shape, daft man, daft, but yeah, so, I mean, compared to the other ones, I think it would be, I think that that will have to send him in a, what do you call it, like a request or like a message saying, hey, you need to be live streaming out to the others, he's probably already thought of it, like, but I think that that would make an enormous difference, you know, be like StreamYard, and when you're doing that live, which you can go live on theirs already, I've tried it a couple of times, I've never been that great at it, and once I got, and everyone was on, it was great, then the other time, I don't know, it didn't work, but me though, I bet it was me, but the, yeah, it's definitely, I know we're probably, we're not getting any commission out of this, by the way, but it's just, it is such a good platform though, isn't it, you know, it's to actually get yourselves involved on it, it's something else.
[Speaker 2] (1:27:53 - 1:28:18)
Definitely, definitely, well, Peter, as always, thoroughly enjoyed it, and yeah, we'll see you again next month, and any of the listeners, if you've got questions as well, write into me, and I'll make sure that I'll cover them on our call, I love all your links, as always, and we'll make sure the school group and everything else you're doing, but as always, thank you very much, Peter.
[Speaker 1] (1:28:18 - 1:28:20)
Well, thank you, thoroughly enjoyed it again.
[Speaker 2] (1:28:21 - 1:28:47)
